Robert Rodriguez, director of acclaimed films such as Once Upon a Time in Mexico and Sin City, will join actor Diego Luna for a conversation about their latest productions as part of SXAméricas on Tuesday, March 11 in Austin Convention Center Ballroom F beginning at 3:30PM. The conversation will be open to all badge types, and will be moderated by Charles Ramirez-Berg, a film professor at the University of Texas at Austin.
Rodriguez will talk about the launch of his Latino TV network EL REY, and From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series, a spinoff of his cult favorite film, which will debut at SXSW Film this Saturday, March 8 at the Vimeo Theater inside the Austin Convention Center. The series will make its debut on EL REY on March 11. He will also discuss his forthcoming sequel, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.
Diego Luna will be discussing his role as Director of the upcoming film Cesar Chávez, which is making its North American premiere at SXSW Film on Monday, March 10. Luna has appeared in a number of popular and critically-acclaimed films, including Kevin Costner’s Open Range, Steven Spielberg’s The Terminal, Gus Van Sant’s Milk, and more. The actor will also be delivering opening remarks at the SXAméricas Opening Night Party on Tuesday, March 11.
