Catch Mindy Kaling at SXSW on Sunday, March 9

Queen of Comedy Mindy Kaling, creator and star of Fox's The Mindy Project, infuses her humor into SXSW Interactive on Sunday, March 9 at 11:00 am.

Actress, comedian, writer, and producer -- this young showrunner has proven there's nothing she can't do. Building her audience through her role as Kelly Kapoor on NBC's The Office, Kaling transitioned into her dream-come-true career as producer and star of Fox's The Mindy Project. Even in the quickly shifting media environment, she has seamlessly adapted to new mediums to conquer television and define the direction of its future. 

In this session, led by Marie Claire Editor-in-Chief Anne Fulenwider, Kaling will discuss the changes of the competitive landscape brought on my the emergence of digital players like Netflix, Amazon and Hulu, evolving audience expectations and the opportunity for women in television to leverage these changes. 

On the session at SXSW, Kaling will later be joined by Mindy Project castmates Ike Barinholtz and Adam Pally to discuss the evolution of the show under Mindy's leadership.
