“In 2018, the touring industry is an incredibly important revenue source for musicians around the globe. The Touring & Live Experience Track highlights discussions about how artists can monetize a tour through emerging technology and unique fan experiences,” says SXSW Programmer Adam Wode. In the session, African Music Goes Live, speakers address the opportunities and challenges African musicians and promoters face as they stage tours both abroad and locally.

Explore highlighted topics in the Touring & Live Experience Track like the life of superfans, getting onto music festival lineups, multi-sensory storytelling technique, and more. Touring & Live Experience sessions will be held from March 13-17 with primary access to Music and Platinum Badges; secondary access to all other badges.
