SXSW Interactive is excited to host “A Virtual Conversation With Edward Snowden” at 11:00 am CDT on Monday, March 10. In this session, the NSA whiste-blower will urge the entrepreneurs, innovators, makers, hackers, geeks, founders, investors and leading-edge thinkers who attend SXSW Interactive to build better systems that better protect user privacy. Complete session details are as follows:
- The session occurs in Exhibit Hall 5 on the first floor of the Austin Convention Center. You must have a SXSW Interactive, Gold or Platinum badge to be admitted to Exhibit Hall 5. We anticipate Exhibit Hall 5 will reach capacity very quickly for this session and encourage you to arrive at least 90 minutes before start time.
- The session will also be simulcast in Ballroom D, Ballroom BC and Room 18ABCD of the of the Austin Convention Center. You must have a SXSW Interactive, Gold or Platinum badge to be admitted to these simulcast rooms. We anticipate these simulcast rooms will also reach capacity very quickly for this session and encourage you to arrive early.
- The session will also be livecast via the Texas Tribune. This livecast is FREE to watch and openly accessible to anyone in the world with an internet connection. As a final option, a video of session will be available for re-viewing for free via the ACLU website beginning on Tuesday, March 11.
