Keynote: Stacey Abrams in Conversation with N.K. Jemisin

During this virtual session, Abrams (who narrowly lost the 2018 Georgia Governor's race) was featured in conversation with Hugo Award winning author N.K. Jemisin. The two discussed the importance of storytelling, which Abrams used to explain her efforts to increase voter registration, which was credited with aiding Democratic wins in Georgia's two 2020 Senate races. In the month before SXSW 2021, Abrams had been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for her efforts to promote voting while fighting voter suppression.
