Latinos in Tech

At SXSW Interactive we operate off a few fundamental principles, one of those being the belief that a diverse community is a strong community. In line with that pursuit, in 2014 we will be hosting the Latinos in Tech track as part of our official SXSW Interactive programming. Latinos in Tech is a three-day-long program that showcases Latino talent and innovations in the tech and new media space.

In its inaugural year, the Latinos in Technology Track will explore the impact of the Hispanic voice on technology and technology impacted sectors and, in turn, the impact of technology on the Hispanic voice. It will take place from Friday, March 7 through Sunday, March 9 at the Holiday Inn Town Lake and will see a broad range of thought leaders and visionaries across all industries take the stage. From digital designers and developers to entrepreneurs and trend-setters from the Latino community, these speakers will help raise awareness about tech innovations both in and outside of the US.

Given the geographical proximity of Austin to Mexico and Latin America, central Texas is a hotbed of diversity and our community is far reaching. Come benefit from the wisdom of this community by helping us spread ideas, grow networks and inspire participants. These Latinos in Tech sessions are free and open to the public, however SXSW badges gain priority entrance.
