The New Environmentalists
McKibben is an environmentalist and author, who has become a leading go-to source for media coverage of climate change. At SXSW 2008, McKibben was already sounding alarms about the direct correlation between carbon emissions and global temperature increases. In this 2012 panel from the SXSW ECO conference, he continued the plea for action in the face of a crisis which has only gained more urgency with each passing year.
