The Attendee Guide is your guide to SXSW with a suite of navigation tools and resources to help prepare you for the adventure ahead. Here are some things to know before you arrive:

Complete Your Profile & Link Your Badge

Create an account or login at id.sxsw.com to view/edit profile details, upload your badge photos, and set your status to Public to network with other attendees. Detailed instructions to link your badge can be found in our FAQs.

Book Your Hotel

Book a hotel through SXSW for the best rates on Austin area hotels.

Download SXSW GO App

Download SXSW® GO, the official SXSW mobile app. Available on iOS and Android devices.

Build Your Schedule

Once you have created your account on id.sxsw.com and linked your badge, build your schedule by favoriting events on the SXSW GO app or online.

Stay Informed

Explore the SXSW News feed and subscribe to newsletters for the latest community updates, programming announcements, and tips. Follow us across official SXSW social media channels, including Instagram, LinkedIn, BlueSky, TikTok, and YouTube.

Badge Pickup

 

To pick up your SXSW Badge, you must present a government-issued ID. To expedite the badge pickup process, upload your photo to id.sxsw.com ahead of time.

Please note the busiest registration day for SXSW is Friday, March 7. You can beat the registration lines by taking advantage of early registration for SXSW from March 2-6 or by visiting a satellite registration location

*On Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15, badge and wristband pickup will only be available at the Austin Marriott Downtown.

Know Before You Go

Registrants Lounge

Open throughout the event, the Registrants Lounge is a convenient and relaxing meeting point for SXSW attendees. Stop by each day for one of our several SX networking events and a complimentary drink from our sponsors. Find the Registrants Lounge across from the Convention Center, where 2nd Street meets Trinity Street.

Platinum Recharge Zones

Platinum Recharge Zones are available for Platinum Badges to take a break, hydrate and recharge. Zones are located at the Austin Convention Center in Meeting Room 14 (3/7 - 3/13), the Hilton in Room 408 (3/7 - 3/13), and the Austin Marriott Downtown in Meeting Room 301 (3/7 - 3/15). The hours for the Platinum Recharge Zone are 9am - 5pm daily.

Family Room

The Family Room is available for parents and families needing a place to care for children, change diapers, or have a quiet space with your child. Breastfeeding mothers can find privacy in a screened off area within the Family Room with fridges available. The Family Room is located in Room 405 on level four of the Austin Marriott Downtown, and is open 9:30am - 5:30pm daily from Monday, March 3 - Saturday, March 15.

Sensory Rooms

Sensory Rooms are open from 10:00am-5:00pm and are located in room 415B in the Hilton (March 7-13) and room 207 in the JW Marriott (March 7-11). The sensory rooms are a calm, quiet space where attendees can take a break from the noise, lights, and crowds. They are designed to help people who might feel overwhelmed, like those with autism, sensory processing issues, or anxiety, by providing a peaceful environment and the chance to recharge during the event.
