As the guitarist and primary songwriter for The Who, Townshend is a true rock n’ roll icon. He spoke as SXSW 2007’s Music Keynote while also actively promoting his Attic Jam web video series in which he performed and hosted musical guests in his attic. While in Austin, he also made several live appearances both by himself and with others, including Ian McLagan of the Small Faces, whom he had known since their early days in London’s nascent '60s music scene.
