SXSW Keynote: T Bone Burnett
Burnett first performed at SXSW 1992 as part of a free Willie Nelson concert at Auditorium Shores. In 2019, he returned as an esteemed, multi-Grammy winning producer and delivered a Keynote address that warned against the encroaching digital dystopia, as well as his view of the lack of humanity in the growing influence, and especially deregulation, of big tech. He also talked about the importance of artistry in countering this frightening future of pervasive surveillance and dehumanization.
