BMI Latin Presents Sonidos Alternos Showcase

BMI Latin returns to 2018 SXSW Music Festival with Sonidos Alternos. This showcase focuses on displaying Latin America’s established and emerging artists to the city of Austin. This year’s showcase will be just as diverse when it comes to genres, with a lineup that’s sure to help you dance the night away.

This year’s lineup includes Caribbean soul-influenced pop from COASTCITY, 808-heavy reggaeton from MelyMel, feel-good Latin alt-pop from Rawayana, cumbia influenced R&B you’ll have to dance to from Los Chinchillos del Caribe, Mexican influenced indie-pop sounds from The Chamanas, and head bobbing 60’s rock from Buffalo Blanco.

Sonidos Alternos will take place at Speakeasy on Wednesday, March 14. SXSW Platinum and Music badgeholders receive primary access to the event. Interactive Badges, Film Badges, and Music Festival Wristbands receive secondary access. This showcase will be open to ages 21+.
