Alex Ebert, best known for his work as frontman and creative force behind the bands Ima Robot and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes, will partake in a very exciting interview at the SXSW Music Conference, this Thursday, March 13 at 5:00PM in Room 18ABC of the Austin Convention Center.

Ebert started Ima Robot amongst the late-1990s Los Angeles music scene, later forming Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes, named after his alter ago. The Magnetic Zeroes’ debut album, 2009’s Up From Below, was driven by the popular single “Home.”

Despite Ebert’s successful music career, the singer has other ambitions. During his SXSW Interview, Ebert will discuss not just music-making, but his growing horizons beyond music. He'll detail his new tech venture, recent Golden Globe, and more.

Jim DeRogatis, music critic and co-host of Sound Opinions on Chicago Public radio, will be conducting the interview.
