Amsterdam Dance Event

Amsterdam Dance Event has been one of our favorite electronic/dance festivals for quite a few years now. We're pleased as punch to have the opportunity to bring a small taste of the Netherlands to SXSW with our very first ADE showcase happening Thursday, March 13 at The Madison (307-A W 5th St), featuring producers and DJs from Dutch labels Rush Hour and Rwina.

Since the late 1990s, Rush Hour have focused on steady, principled growth as a record shop, label, and distribution company from their brick and mortar homebase in Amsterdam. Featuring label releases from living legends Carl Craig, Tyree Cooper and Alden Tyrell to modern tastemakers Tom Trago and Hunee, Rush Hour continues to excel on its own terms while setting the bar high for everyone else in the world of house and techno.

Headed up by Akka in Amsterdam, Rwina Records focuses on emerging artists in forward thinking, bass heavy dance music ranging from off-kilter house to experimental breakbeat, jazz and hip hop rhythms with releases by the likes of Jameszoo, Kramphaft, and US-based producer Starkey.

Come and join the dance at the Madison on Thursday, March 13 starting at 8:00PM with Akka, Kramphaft and Jameszoo representing Rwina and Antal, Hunee and Tom Trago representing Rush Hour.
