"I am fortunate to come from a family inclined towards the Arts. My parents recognised my musical aptitude at an early age and had me classically trained in piano since the age of 6.
I picked up percussive guitar at age 16, teaching myself how to pay by watching musicians on the internet. I learnt a variety of instruments online and used my classical training to write pieces for Orchestra using the instrumental knowledge I was acquiring.
This accelerated learning process caught the attention of TED and I was selected to be a TED Fellow and performed alongside Preston Reed during my TED Talk at TED GLOBAL 2012 in Edinburgh. It also led to being one of thirty tow musicians specifically selected by the U.S State Department to be part of a musical and cultural exchange tour of the East Coast of the U.S called OneBeat 2012.
I use my music and art to try to tell stories that words cannot."
