Volunteer at Style X

Please note: Style X volunteers are in no way associated with the SXSW Volunteer program. See below for details.

We are looking for volunteers to help us in a variety of ways with our:

Personal Guided Shopping Station:

• Personal Guided Shoppers & Runners: Assist interested shoppers by showing them the designers that would be a good match to their current style, and return clothing to vendors. We prefer you are available all day Friday March 16th or all day Saturday March 17th. *

Runway Show:

• Dressers- Assist with dressing and directing the musicians backstage.
• Production Assistants- Assist with setting up the runway show. We prefer you are available all day Friday March 16th or all day Saturday March 17th.
• Personal Assistants- Assist our Runway Producer with various tasks such as styling and collection coordination. Runway Personal Assistants will need to be available Monday March 12th through Saturday March 17th. *

Production Support:

• Designer Support: Assist our showcasing designers.
• Information Desk: Help shoppers with any of their Style X questions.
• Gifting Suite Coordination: Work the musician gifting booth.
• Pop-Up Construction & Breakdown: Helping designers load in/out their merchandise and helping designers set up their Pop-Up store. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
• Media Liaison: Check-in media contacts and runway show seating.
• Musician Liaison: Check-in musicians and gifting support.

Style X Street Team: Guerrilla marketing support in downtown Austin and promotion of Style X.

We ask that volunteers are, at a minimum, available for four hours, unless otherwise noted. Volunteers will not be paid in any form, nor will they receive a SXSW badge. However, gifting opportunities are available and increase with the amount of time volunteered. This is great opportunity to see how Style X runs backstage while working with some amazing people!
