The Jasperbridge is a percussive string instrument that allows the performer to utilize techniques that cannot be done on any other instrument. The instrument is patented and made its recording debut several months ago. The way I play it incorporates left hand guitar techniques with right hand percussion techniques. Different types of strikers (sticks, brushes, mallets) yield different sounds. The instrument is electric, but not electronic. The musician has a range of tones, volumes, and attitudes at his disposal. The Jasperbridge is in small production and looking for open minded musicians to take it to the next level.
