Company Profile
Rob Jones is the owner of Animal Rummy, a design outfit headquartered in Austin, TX. A freelance graphic designer for about 11 years, Rob earned his bachelor's degree in English at Vanderbilt University and then a master's degree in advertising at the University of Texas at Austin. Rob made his bones primarily through his graphic work for Jack White and his various musical incarnations: The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, The Dead Weather, and his current solo outing. Tour chores include LP design, multiple singles, shirts, posters, and other assorted gimcracks such as kilt pins, 45 boxes, or packaging for custom made cameras. In 2010, Rob (and Jack) won the Grammy award for Special Packaging for their design of the White Stripes box set, "Under Great White Northern Lights".
In addition to band work, Rob also spearheaded the poster arm of Mondo, an Austin company specializing in silkscreened movie posters. Mondo has exploded across the internet lately with it's weekly drops of posters for new films and classic favorites with editions generally selling out in a few minutes. Rob runs Mondo alongside Justin Ishmael and Mitch Putnam as the most horrific looking triumvirate in modern film marketing.
When not working, Rob enjoys sleeping, drinking tea, and writing about himself in third person.
