Das Keyboard is a division of Metadot Corporation and operates with one purpose in mind—to increase typing productivity. When you consider that many individuals spend eight or more hours a day in front of their computers working on a keyboard, it makes sense why they’d want to have a first-class, high-performance keyboard at their fingertips.
Long revered as the Cadillac of keyboards, Das Keyboard’s Model S provides users with a unique, even euphoric, typing experience. The keyboard’s mechanical key switches produce a distinct “click” with each keystroke, providing typists with tactile and audible feedback that is both pleasing and addictive. The Model S is built for speed, precision and comfort, and comes in two versions: the Professional, which has labeled keys much like any standard keyboard, and the Ultimate, a completely blank keyboard for hardcore users looking for the ultimate typing thrill. Since 2012, a Mac version was added to the Das Keyboard family.
Das Keyboard’s Model S sports best-in-class German-engineered gold-plated mechanical key switches—or, the best key switches money can buy. The Model S also features: two USB connectors, a two-port USB 2.0 hub, an external PS/2 adapter, full n-key rollover functionality and KVM switch compatibility. Both Model S keyboards—the Professional and Ultimate—are also offered in a “silent” version which produces a softer clicking sound, albeit the same superior and joyful typing experience that Das Keyboard fans admire.
