Hailing from Vancouver BC, Bear Mountain's music is both rhythmic and soulful. Blending syncopated bass lines and arpeggiated synth chords with live instrumentation and soaring vocals, Bear Mountain creates a sound that is both deeply moving, and sweetly captivating. With old heartbreak on the mountain style vocals, Bear Mountain sings with powerful release and vulnerable honesty over strong rhythmic beats realized through the instrumentation of a live band. Bear Mountain began as the bedroom project of Ian Bevis.
