Fascinated by rap music since his teenage years, Koriass launched a first composition in 2001 and developed his style by taking part in rap battles. In 2006, he released a first EP, Mort de rire, which made him one of the most prominent artists of the emerging hip-hop scene in Québec.
KaiL Baxley grew up in the small backwater town of Williston in Barnwell County, South Carolina, the birthplace and stomping grounds of the late great soul legend James Brown, with whom KaiL shared an unlikely friendship as a child. “Yeah, James used to say, \'Boy you bein\' good?\' I’d say, \'Yes sir.\' He’d say, \'You know you doin\' wrong! Nah, show me your moves lil’ man!\' And we’d have a little dance off. I’m pretty sure he always won, ha, ha. There’s something about the groove of James Brown that has always stayed with me.”
Il Pan Del Diavolo is a folk\'n\'roll duo formed by Pietro Alessandro Alosi (guitar, kick and vocals) and Gianluca Bartolo (guitar and vocals). The group was born in Palermo in 2006 and began playing live with energetic and very intense performances. In 2008 they won the Sicilian stages of the national Italiawave Festival competition, playing also at Ypsigrock and sharing the stage with Gogol Bordello at Pollino Festival.
Hexvessel is a psychedelic folk-rock band from Finland that was founded by Englishman Mat McNerney after he moved to Helsinki in 2009. Fusing late 60s and early 70s English folk/psych with Finnish nature mysticism, they play a witches brew of heavy, tripped-out atmospherics and hypnotic paeans. Their debut album Dawnbearer, which is now considered an occult folk classic, garnered rave reviews from the media and fans alike, making it to the top of many people\'s Best of 2011 lists.
GOLD & YOUTH is a band based in Vancouver and Toronto who write songs tinged with nostalgic desire. Their music evokes memories of neo-noir Los Angeles, cinematic haze and midnight solitudes.
GHXST is a New York based noise grunge trio composed of Shelley X, Chris Wild and Nathan La Guerra. With influences such as the Jesus and Mary Chain, White Zombie, and Sonic Youth, they evoke the rockin\' 90s with a new kind of stylish noise rock, full of killer distortion, bluesy vocals, and heavy drums.
FKi, comprised of Raye Rich and 1st Down, is a hip hop duo out of Atlanta, GA. Not only are they artists they are highly acclaimed producers. FKi began to get their productions placed with various artists, such as Travis Porter, Ludacris, Iggy Azalea, Cash Out, Tyga and more gaining them even more popularity. Before they knew it, the two were doing shows all over the United States which included the opportunity to showcase their talent at A3C in 2011, SXSW in 2012, and joining A3C for another go round in 2012. 1st Down was even invited to join the producer’s panel during A3C 2012.
Gemini Club, consisting of Dan Brunelle, Tom Gavin and Gordon Bramli, is a three-piece indie-electronic dance band hailing from Chicago, Illinois. Their unique live shows have been tearing up the scene for the last two years, and commencing dizzying dance parties in every city they go! Far from the conventional live performance, Gemini Club have a specially designed rig that allows for on-the-fly remixing of their own songs meaning each Gemini Club show is different from the last.
Quaker City Night Hawks\' brand of hard rock n\' roll is bred from Texas boogie, Memphis soul and heavy blues. Their music is southern rock right out of \'75, played with the fervor of a sermon crackling out of the radio in a \'68 Lincoln. They\'re the whiskey bottle you finished Saturday night and the prayer you said the next morning.
