China Rats formed in Leeds in the Summer of 2011. They released their debut EP \'To Be Like I' in April 2012 and quickly earned the attention of BBC Radio 1's Huw Stephens, which resulted in a spot on the BBC Radio 1 Introducing Playlist with an anthem called N.O.M.O.N.E.Y. '(At Least Those) Kids Are Getting Fed' the follow up single received airplay on BBC Radio 1, XFM, BBC 6 Music amongst others and was Single Of The Week on hugely influential French Music Magazine Les Inrockuptibles.

La Mala Senda debuta con su primer disco "Bajo el sol... huellas" en 2009, captando rápidamente la atención del medio. Ese año, en su recuento anual, la revista Rockaxis pone a "Bajo el Sol..." como la mejor producción nacional. Fruto de esto, la banda es invitada a la celebración de los 10 años de Rockaxis, abriendo el show de Candlebox en el Teatro Caupolicán. También en 2009, la banda produce su primer videoclip, para el single "Vívelo" En 2010 se concreta la primera salida internacional, con la participación en el festival Altavoz de Medellín.
