Marking 10 years of official SXSW showcases, Detroit's Small Stone Records returns to Headhunters (720 Red River) with some of the finest in heavy rock. This year's Small Stone showcase is headlined by New Orleans veterans Suplecs and Connecticut upstarts Lord Fowl, and features Virginia's Freedom Hawk and Texan natives Wo Fat along with Luder, Supermachine and Mellow Bravo. For lovers of classic guitar and motor-ready grooves, it gets no better than Small Stone, and with a decade under their belts, they still throw a party like none other. Expect the epic.

I've long been an admirer of Mr. Jim James and he's long been a pal o' mine. I first saw My Morning Jacket at SXSW in 2002, an event that charted my future on an interesting course for ten years. I've watched him stretch and grow musically and as a person and have always been impressed by his desire to explore and not lead a life that is stagnant in any way.

Regions of Light and Sound of God, his first major foray outside the boundaries of MMJ, is a beautifully paced cruise through Jim's universe and what it means to wonder, what it means to be alive.

Only Yahoo! can pull together ghost hunters, puppets and some of the top music acts and bring them to Austin. As a SXSW Super Sponsor, Yahoo! is committing to inspire and entertain you both on-location and online and will be presenting various events held at Brazos Hall, Yahoo!’s festival headquarters. Dickies and Karmaloop in partnership are taking on SXSW with Filter Magazine, bringing you acclaimed music artists such as Talib Kweli, The Joy Formidable, The Divine Fits, and Fitz and the Tantrums. The Lustre Pearl is a stage you won't want to miss. Through an exclusive content partnership, Dickies and Karmaloop will be bringing you special acoustic sessions, daily recaps, interviews, behind the scenes footage, promotions, and plenty of SXSW culture.

SXSW Music Conference is pleased to announce rapper and CEO of Terror Squad Entertainment, Fat Joe, will speak at the event. Joe will give registrants a first hand look into the past decade's rise of Latino Urban culture into a notable mainstream crossover phenomenon.

Along with Joe, Blurring the Border: New Era of Latin Urban Culture will feature DJ Buddha, Angie Martinez (AMP Law), Flavio Morales (BIG VIDA Entertainment), and Lonnie Limon (iNSPIRE!) on Wednesday, March 13 at 12:30pm in room 12AB of the Austin Convention Center.
