Every year in April, vinyl enthusiasts and music lovers rejoice on the annual Record Store Day. According to Record Store Day’s official website, it’s a day where customers and artists “come together and celebrate the unique culture of a record store and the special role these independently owned stores play in their communities.”

Well, you won’t have to wait until April to get a taste of Record Store Day - you can visit your friendly neighborhood record store this Friday, November 29th for “Back to Black Friday” and take your pick of limited edition vinyl, box sets, and more!

One piece of music that we’re highlighting this week on SXSWfm comes from Jim Eno’s new series of releases called The Public Hi-Fi Sessions. The series, which is entirely curated and produced by Eno, will deliver limited edition singles on 12-inch vinyl three times a year. Out this Friday, “Rejection #5” by Norwegian singer-songwriter and SXSW alumni Sondre Lerche will be the first release of the series.

Tune in to SXSWfm throughout the holiday weekend to catch Sondre Lerche’s new single. In addition to that, get a preview of the many amazing bands coming to SXSW 2014 on your mobile device or desktop by clicking here.
