SXSW 2014 Band: Touche Amore

The Backbeat was excited to announce performances by favored rock artists Tijuana Panthers, Dum Dum Girls, and Boogarins on today's airing. SXSW alumni presenter Ground Control Touring will put forward two stages of music on Thursday, March 13th at Red 7.

The inside stage will be headlined lo-fi indie rock artist Kurt Vile who will receive direct support from his former backing band member from The Violators, Steve Gunn. Also slated for the bill are The Felice Brothers, Nashville-based country crooner Jonny Fritz, and Gruff Rhys, who will make his way to Austin all the way from Cardiff for their second SXSW appearance.

The outside stage will be headlined by lady rock sweethearts, Dum Dum Girls. Backbeat favorites Tijuana Panthers and Boogarins are also set for the bill. We are very much looking forward to welcoming Brazil's psych rock breakthrough act Boogarins, who were just picked up to perform at Austin Psych Fest 2014 this May. You can also catch them on the Sounds from Brazil showcase at Icenhauer's on Wednesday, March 12th. Tijuana Panthers will go on to tour abroad post-SXSW, hitting Plisskën Festival in Greece in June, as well a couple of dates in France.

Your Friend, Touche Amore, and Seahaven are also on the outdoor stage lineup.
