SXSW 2014 Band Lovelife

Ever since the London-raised lads of Lovelife set up home base in Los Angeles, they have been delivering a heavy dose of moody synth-pop that leaves your body debating whether to tap your feet to the vibrating beats or sway your body side-to-side from the mesmerizingly fervid vocals.

Former frontman of Viva Brother, Leonard Newell (vocals), along with previous Mirrors band member, Ally Young (keys), are joined by Sam Jackson (guitar), and Frank Colucci (drums) to produce the smooth sound that is Lovelife.

Lovelife is a band you are probably familiar with, you just haven’t put the band’s name and music together. Maybe you’ve noticed the band gaining radio airplay from their third EP, Stateless. Or maybe you caught them on one of their numerous tours, which included a stop at SXSW 2013, and opening for well-known names like Capital Cities and The Neighbourhood. Not to mention, the band managed to fit in residencies at The Bootleg in Los Angeles and The Constellation Room in Southern California. Regardless, here is your chance to familiarize yourself with Lovelife before they hit the stage at SXSW 2014!

Lovelife is currently working on their first album set to release sometime this year. Until then, you can listen to tracks like “Dying To Start Again” from Lovelife’s Stateless EP on SXSWfm! To launch the SXSWfm player on your mobile device or desktop, click here.
