Cool and collected LA rock band Bad Suns blends nostalgic angst with pop elements to create a sound as invigorating as the California sunshine. Formed in 2012, Bad Suns is made up of Christo Bowman (vocals), Ray Libby (guitar), Gavin Bennett (bass), and Miles Morris (drums), who are all barely old enough to legally drink.
Relatively fresh on the scene, Bad Suns is signed to iconic indie label Vagrant Records, which has housed bands like Dashboard Confessional and Alkaline Trio. While the band spent most of 2013 sharing the stage with The 1975 and Vaccines, Bad Suns released its first EP Transpose on January 21st this year.
Transpose serves as a prelude to Bad Suns’ debut album that will be released later this year. Featuring tracks like “Cardiac Arrest,” Transpose is a collection of four distinct tracks that flow effortlessly.
Bad Suns will be performing at SXSW on Wednesday, March 12th at Blackhart.
