Killa Kyleon at SXSW 2012

Quite a few hip-hop artists were listed in Round One of the 2014 SXSW Music Festival Artist Announcement, including Doughbeezy, Dizzy Wright, Hopsin, DeLorean, Propain, Swizzz, Roosh Williams, Que, Wes Fif, VIP, and Mibbs of Pac Div. Today, we’re focusing on another rapper announced last week: Killa Kyleon.

Killa Kyleon has been big in Houston’s underground rap scene for years. The rapper came up surrounded by hip-hop legends, including DJ Screw and Slim Thug. In fact, Killa Kyleon was a member of Houston hip-hop collective Boss Hogg Outlawz, led by Slim Thug. Since leaving Boss Hogg a couple years ago, Killa Kyleon has worked with Wiz Khalifa on his Kush & Orange Juice mixtape - a personal favorite of mine - among others.

Check out Killa Kyleon’s latest track on Tha Fixx Radio as we wait for his highly anticipated album, T.R.I.L.L. My boy B. Hobbs could tell you a lot more about Killa Kyleon, so tune in to Tha Fixx on SXSWfm today at noon, 6pm & 12am CDT to hear more.
