PanelPicker voting and commenting for SXSWedu 2013 programming closes this Friday at 11:59pm CST. With more than 700 entries received this year, the selection process is extremely competitive. We need your help determining which proposals are best fit to present at SXSWedu March 4-7, 2013 in Austin, TX. Get involved in the decision-making process by browsing all of the ideas, leaving comments and voting for the proposals you most wish to see at the event.

SXSWedu, a component of the SXSW family of conferences and festivals, welcomes representatives from the many different facets of the education ecosystem reflecting the growing community dedicated to innovations in learning. Register to attend before the November 9 discount deadline to save off the walkup rate and receive the best hotel options.

SXSW Interactive Hackathon 1.0 Results!

The SXSW Interactive Hackathon 1.0 is complete! In Austin, Texas, from September 29-30, eight teams toiled for 24 hours, creating projects related to stroke patient data and ended up with some incredible applications. The top three projects and their teams won SXSW Interactive 2013 badges. Congratulations to all who participated! This health hackathon reflects SXSW's ongoing commitment to developing better solutions for this industry. Stay tuned to the SXSW website on Monday, October 15 to see the various health-related panels and solo presentations that will be part of the 2013 event.

Brenda passed away on Saturday, September 29 in Austin following a long, heroic battle with cancer. Her passion for music and the people who created it led to a position as Panels Coordinator for SXSW from 1988-1992 – the lean, early years when a comparative handful of people worked insanely long hours putting the event together.
