As the students file into class, they notice something different. Their seats have been rearranged to make room for one of those old film projectors people of a certain age might associate with fond memories of "film strip day."

"Hey, teach, what's up with the relic over here?"

"That 'relic' is what's called a film projector. You remember those, don't you?"

The class laughs and then settles down.

"Today, class, we have a very special treat. SXSW Interactive has teamed up with Trigger Studios and Electro-Fish Media to bring you a film series entitled 'What is SXSW Interactive?' These films will introduce you to the festival and some of the many people who help to make it happen every year. So sit back and enjoy 'Lesson 1: Daytime Programming'... And, yes, there will be a quiz!"
