Tomorrow Happens Here.

Let Panels Commence: "I Love You, Man", Jeffrey Tambor, and a Vivid experience

I_Love_You_Man.jpgHang onto your hats people - this one's going to be good!
As if opening the 2009 festival with I Love You, Man isn't enough, we have another trick up our sleeve.
SXSW takes great pleasure in announcing that writer/director John Hamburg (Along Came Polly) will be in attendance for a special panel with cast members Paul Rudd (The 40 Year Old Virgin), Jason Segel (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and Rashida Jones (NBC's The Office). They will join him at SXSW Film Conference for a spirited look behind the scenes of I Love You, Man, and an insight into their particular brand of comedy.
So expect to be engaged, entertained, and maybe even a little enlightened! Check out the panel on Saturday, March 14.

Tambor_at_SXSW08.jpgOne of the highlights of SXSW 2008 was the fantastic acting workshop led by legendary character actor Jeffrey Tambor, best known for his role(s) as Oscar and George Bluth Sr in cult sitcom Arrested Development.
Well, we're giddy to report that Tambor returns, with a special SXSW Film Conference repeat presentation of his acclaimed workshop. Watch with amazement as he breaks down the craft and rebuilds it from the ground up, rehearsing and refining it with his actors, revealing the magic and process behind great performance.
As much for directors and spectators as it is for actors, all are encouraged to attend this very special event...preferably packing an arsenal of questions! It all takes place Saturday, March 14. We hope you can join us.

vivid_steve_hirsch.jpgWe're also thrilled to announce that SXSW Film is pushing the boundaries again this year with the confirmation of a panel from Vivid Entertainment, a longtime standard bearer for the impact and success of the adult film industry.

Leading the charge is Vivid's co-founder and co-CEO, Steven Hirsch. Hirsch has been involved with the adult entertainment industry for more than 30 years, establishing Vivid Entertainment in 1984. At Vivid, Hirsch implemented an innovative system of exclusive contracts for adult performers, a structure akin to the old Hollywood studio system. This was only the first of many innovative and bold moves that has allowed Vivid to flourish in the ensuing decades, successfully tailoring its business model to an ever-changing audience, and ensuring Vivid's longevity in an increasingly competitive, volatile market.vivid_girls.jpg

Joining Hirsch at this unique event on Tuesday, March 17 will be two of the studio's most popular contract performers, Vivid girls Hanna Hilton and Meggan Mallone.

Please note that all of these panels and workshops are only open to SXSW Film, Gold and Platinum badgeholders. So what are you waiting for? Register to attend now!
