SXSW 2013 Music Session

The SXSW Music Festival will bring in about 600 acts from outside of the United States this year. Many of these bands are obscure, here to showcase their talent to a large international audience while the world is in Austin this March. After SXSW, it will be crucial for these artists, and their labels, to understand the cross-border issues facing the music business, like setting up and managing international tours or selling music abroad.

The SXSW 2014 Music Conference is here to help with these issues, with discussions about everything from international commerce for record labels to improving national security through music. Other sessions will focus on exciting musical trends happening in Africa and Sweden, as well as global music curation.

Please see the list of these internationally-focused sessions below. Click here for more SXSW Music 2014 session and speaker guides.
