SaulPaul Audio Recap of danah boyd Keynote
At SXSW, we pride ourselves on being the ultimate convergence of the music, film and interactive industries; that being said, no one better embodies that than author, musician, speaker and filmmaker SaulPaul.
Despite being born into a world of poverty, drugs and crime, SaulPaul has risen to prominence on a platform of determination and ingenuity. A Texas born entrepreneur and graduate of the prestigious University of Texas at Austin, SaulPaul is a self-described “rapper with a reason,” a “musician with a message.”
The singer/songwriter, who has been able to combine his multiple passions without compromising any, has devoted his immense talents towards creating musical representations of our 2010 SXSW Interactive keynotes.
Following each of our daily Interactive keynotes, SaulPaul will be composing and performing musical interpretations of the messages being conveyed. We are excited to see this convergence of different mediums and people expressing themselves in nontraditional ways at SXSW Interactive 2010. For those in the Austin Convention Center, be sure to catch SaulPaul after each keynote outside of Exhibit Hall 1, it's a performance you won't want to miss!
Check out the podcast here and listen to SaulPaul's musical interpretation of Saturday's Opening Remarks: Privacy and Publicity with danah boyd. And check back daily for the next installment.
