Pick Three - Toby Dundas of The Temper Trap

The Temper Trap are crazy busy taking over our shores these days so I was super fortunate to get drummer Toby Dundas to send in a Pick Three.
Dundas, described as a walking music dictionary, started the band with vocalist/songwriter Dougy Mandagi when the pair worked at the same clothing store. The band were one of the undeniable breakouts of last year's festival and I'm crossing my fingers I can take time out to catch them at Lustre Pearl next Thursday at 11.00.
I confess I'm a sucker for all things Aussie (I mean, wombats? Tree kangaroos. Come on!) and TTT are no exception. I know I've fallen in love with Conditions as you probably have, too.
Here's what Dundas will be checking out at SXSW...
Pick Three
Band of Horses: All albums have been amazing, you can not go past that voice. Just heard we are label mates, too.
Broken Social Scene: These guys rule. Awesome people, amazing amaazing live band.
jj: Really interested to see them live. The songs are stunning.
I know registration's open now at the convention center place. I'm only a little afraid to check out the IA explosion. I shall return later with an LPQ from Alina Simone. In the meantime you can read all the other lovelies here.
The tweeting will not be in short supply in the next ten days and you can follow us @sxsw and @mspark. We are also available on email (that old fashioned thing?!)... please send wonderful wallabees to musicblog@sxsw.com.
Structural and necessary, lp
