Pick Three - Danny Benair

Hiya... back again for some Pick Three fun with Danny Benair of Natural Energy Lab and Benair Churchill. His panel, Record Club, sounds like oodles of fun if you still, you know, like music (and isn't that why we're all here?).
Benair started out with a love of 45's... the fact his father left the country and his mother bought him a red sparkle drum kit set him further down his path. He spent his youth going to Altamont, Bowie's last concert with the Spiders From Mars, and a million other rock concerts.
He played in The Quick and The Three O'Clock then stumbled ionto the executive world at Polygram Music Publishing, was "canned 8 1/2 years later and started Natural Energy Lab, a company representing labels and artists for film, TV and advertising at at a time when nobody thought it was good idea."
Ten years later it's still going and he still geeks out at weird 45's that Jimmy Page did session work on.
I'm excited that Danny did Pick Three because one of my earliest memories of living in LA was him calling for my boss and me waving my arms around like mad going, "Tell him I love The Three O'Clock!" It's always lovely when your teen ghost gets to have a little thrill via your now jaded, rather older modern day self.
And without further ado...
PICK THREE
Race Horses: My new fave record Goodbye Falkenburg with songs like "Cake" and "Scooter" just make me smile. If they play at 4 A.M. I am there! Very nice Psych moments, too!
Nive Nielsen: Nive is from Greenland. I heard her over a year ago, and look forward to seeing her. John Parish guests on the record. Since I have no plans of going to Greenland, I better show up!
Smoke Fairies: I buy all their 45's, and since my initial enthusiasm Jack White has produced them.
