Announcing Accelerator's Day Two Emcees: Chris Sacca and Brad King!

chris-sacca_0.jpgOn March 15 at the Hilton Austin Downtown, 32 companies will do their best to dazzle a live audience and panel of judges with ideas, innovations, and products that provide a glimpse into the future of technology. By March 16, after an intense and inspiring free-for-all, only 12 will stand a chance at capturing the attention of the industry and all that comes with it. And only four will emerge as Microsoft BizSpark Accelerator at SXSW Interactive 2010 champions.

Knock'em-down-drag'em-out battles like this need referees, right? Commentators to call the action? Emcees who can entertain? Well, we're happy to announce that we have four, and today we're ready to tell you about two of them ...

Brad-King-Image-#2.jpgChris Sacca and Brad King will host Day Two of Accelerator at SXSW, and we couldn't be more excited.

Sacca, who describes himself as an irreverent investor, is the founder of Lowercase Capital in San Francisco, and was named by The Wall Street Journal as "possibly the most influential businessman in America" as a private equity principal, company advisor, and venture investor working with such portfolio companies as Twitter, Gowalla, Dailybooth, and Fanbridge.

King is an assistant professor of journalism at Ball State University, where his research examines how emerging technologies are changing the ways we tell -- and share -- stories. He is also one of six Emerging Media Fellows at the university. He has worked for Wired and MIT's Technology Review and worked on the books Dungeons and Dreamers and the forthcoming The Cult of Me and Making Digital. He also sat on the advisory board for the first Austin Game Conference in 2004.

Stay tuned for Accelerator at SXSW's Day One Emcees!
