The Huffington Post is continuing on in their mission to find 100 people who are using new media to change the world, and this week asked, who are the ultimate game changers in business? SXSW Interactive is proud to boast finalists Tony Hsieh and Mena Trott as past speakers.
Hsieh, CEO of Zappos, delivered the 2009 SXSW Interactive opening remarks and discussed how doing business online doesn’t have to be impersonal. Hsieh explained how Zappos’ strategy of providing fervent attention to customer service has earned them fanatical devotion and fueled their growth.
Mena Trott, who we first saw in 2002 as a SXSW Interactive Web Awards winner for “Best Weblog,” has since returned as the Co-Founder and president of Six Apart. Six Apart, the company behind Movable Type, Typepad and Vox, is the world’s leading blogging software company and enables millions of individuals and media companies to express themselves.
The Huffington Post will continue to announce finalists in the remaining categories throughout this month and we are pleased to see so many SXSW Interactive alums being recognized as leaders in the new media revolution.
