Following the success of last year's SXSW Film/AIGA Austin Film Poster Award, SXSW 2010 will expand the annual Film Design Awards to include the inaugural Excellence in Title Design Award. This brand new initiative, the first of its kind, aims to discover the very best in contemporary title sequence design, and continue our tradition of celebrating unique creative vision in all aspects of filmmaking.

Eligibility is open internationally to all title sequences that exist in a film completed in 2009/2010. The deadline to submit is December 11. Entries will be judged by an esteemed panel of experts from the worlds of title design, digital film production and online hosting and distribution.

As an added bonus, SXSW will showcase accepted Title Sequences at a dedicated screening during the event, and entries will be eligible for an Audience Award, chosen by the public. SXSW will continue to present the Excellence in Poster Design Award, which is open again to all films accepted for SXSW Film 2010.
