Submit Panel Ideas for SXSW 2010 Now!

If you hadn't already noticed, the submission process for the 2010 SXSW Panel Picker is now live!

The folks from SXSW Interactive have known about the picker for a couple of years, contributing over 1400 proposals last season, but we decided to go even bigger and better in 2010 by extending the process to the dynamic voices that drive SXSW Film and Music.

SXSW thrives on the creative intersection that takes place when great minds get together, and we feel the Panel Picker truly celebrates that. We believe that the real experts at SXSW are the people who bring the event to life - you, the thousands of people who attend every year. You know what you want to see, so this is your chance to help make that happen.
Since submissions opened on June 1st, we've already received some great ideas, so if you haven't sent some of your own, it's time to get brainstorming! Summer is here, but the clock is ticking - you only have until Friday, July 10th to get your proposal in!

So what kind of ideas are we looking for? Well, we want you to be creative, but we need details! We believe that truly focused ideas lead to more engaging, valuable panels, so be specific! It also helps to have a snappy title, but make sure it's indicative of the nature of the panel. We love puns and humor as much as the next person, but if you have a clever title and it doesn't point to the content, it just won't fly. Sell it to us! You may have a dream panelist in mind, but we'd prefer to leave this open until your idea is confirmed. We'll be working with you if you're selected, so don't worry, we'll do our very best to help secure that A-list speaker. We'd also love it if you'd proof-read the hell out of your submission. Only then should you consider the next step: proof it again! Doesn't seem like a huge deal, but we do notice, and it could mean the difference between panel-planning glory and better-luck-next-time. Sounds easy, right?
