The Everyday Visuals will be bringing their catchy, melodic pop/rock to SXSW from Boston as part of a showcase presented by Undertow and Standard Recording Co. "Songs For Presidents". Also appearing on the bill are Caleb Engstrom, Steve J. Dawson, Christian Kiefer, Jefferson Pitcher, J. Matthew Gerken doing 43 Songs for 43 U.S. Presidencies and Special Guests. The showcase will take place Thursday, March 16 at Habana Calle 6.

The Everyday Visuals are pretty stoked about the trip and were kind enough to share with us some of their plans for SXSW and beyond.

As far as we want to accomplish, I think we just want to play a good show. It's the only thing we really have control over - we can try and hustle and get people to our showcase, labels, agents, etc. but to hang all your hopes on a group of people who's opinions and plans for the night can be changed by a gust of wind is just setting yourself up for disappointment. What we plan to do is play this show like all the shows we play; the best we can - and if people are there to hear it, great, because I think they'll really like it.

Lately we've been working on putting out our new record. It's due out on April 14th, and we've been hustling to get everything into place for it's release. We also have been gearing up with a tour with our dear friends Bang Camaro - it's a strange match, us and them, but we couldn't pass up the opportunity to play with them - they have been so supportive of us in Boston and beyond, and we have a great time hanging out with those guys.

Who do we hope to meet? We hope to meet fans who don't know they are fans yet. Oh, and Daniel Johnston.
