The LP Questionnaire/Pick Three - Craig & Charlie Reid of The Proclaimers

the_proclaimers.jpg
Twin brothers Craig and Charlie Reid make up the Edinburgh band The Proclaimers (and belated birthday wishes to the two of them who, funnily enough, share the date with two of my closest friends).

You know them, of course, from the smashing hit "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)," but they've had a long and storied career dating back to 1983 (and they have a new album due this summer titled Notes & Rhymes). Politically passionate, they've been outspoken supporters of Scottish independence and have done work for charities like Comic Relief and the Association for International Cancer Research.

A lesser known fact about The Proclaimers... they were once mistaken for teen pop idols BROS (UK) on a tour of Northern Ireland.

Craig and Charlie were good sports and subjected themselves to The LP Questionnaire and Craig gave me his top three picks for the fest. Speaking of the number three, that's how many times you can catch the band at SXSW.

Ever notice how fast time seems to go when you haven't got much of it? The invasion begins soon, everybody! However, if you've got a spare moment you can have a gander at past LPQ/P3shere. AND I'll be Twittering or Tweeting or whatever you call it throughout the fest @mspark.

Safety first! lp
