Earlier this morning, Brooks Running Company kicked off their SXSW Cowboy runs in style. Attendees came in cowboy costumes and picked up Brooks SWAG and a custom SXSW shirt. A cowboy with a lasso and a lady sporting steer horns each won free shoes for best costume. Brooks is reminding us what it means to run happy. After stretching out, the group was led by local runners on a 5k and 10k route along the Lady Bird Lake Trail. It was a great way to start the day and to connect with other SXSW attendees. Missed today's run? Join Brooks tomorrow and Monday at 7:30 a.m. at the Registrants Lounge (E 4th & Neches St.). The first 100 to register at brooksrunning.com/sxsw will receive a free Brooks SXSW shirt and other great Brooks gear. Remember to wear your best cowboy costume! In addition to being our morning run partner, Brooks is also presenting at SXSW. Anne Reeve, Brooks' VP of Global Talent Management will be speaking Sunday at 5:15 p.m. at the Hilton Downtown on how Workplace Fitness Flexes the Mind. While you're at SXSW, take time to learn, connect and run! See you in the morning.
