The Basics of Startup Village
1. Why do we have Startup Village?
By consolidating much of what already happens at SXSW Music into one location, Startup Village allows current and future entrepreneurs to enjoy the convenience of one space for learning and networking with investors, technology trailblazers and other entrepreneurs.
2. Is SXSW Accelerator a part of the Startup Village?
Yes, SXSW Accelerator will be the showcased event within Startup Village. SXSW Music Accelerator is happening on Wednesday March 13 and will be focusing on the various key trends within technology as the event categories showcase innovative Startup companies pitching their products and/or services to a panel of industry experts, early adapters, and representatives from the investment technology community. 3. Who can attend?
Startup Village Music programming will be open to SXSW Music and Platinum registrants.
4. What type of programming will be featured at Startup Village?
Various Startup events including SXSW Accelerator, Panels, Meet-ups, Lounges, Pitch Events, and Mentoring/Coaching sessions related to this unique Startup, Entrepreneur and Investor community.
5. Who would benefit from participating in the Startup Village?
Venture Capitalists, Angel Investors, Entrepreneurs, Early Adaptors, Startups, Business Educators, and Service Providers (Lawyers, Accountants, HR, Technical Supports, etc.) are some of the individuals who would benefit from participating in the SXSW Startup Village events.

6. How can I submit a content-related proposal for the Startup Village for SXSW 2013?

8. Who should I contact about my great idea for a panel at SXSW Music Startup Village?
Proposals for the 2013 SXSW Music event were accepted via the PanelPicker from June 25 through July 22, 2012. Stay updated on all SXSW Music news, including important deadlines, by subscribing to the monthly SXSW e-mail newsletter.

12. What is the difference between Music and Interactive Startup Village?
SXSW Music Startup Village and SXSW Music Accelerator will take place Wednesday, March 13 and all events will be held in the Austin Convention Center. SXSW Interactive Startup Village, SXSW Interactive Accelerator and satellite events will take place Friday March 8 through Tuesday March 12, Startup Village and SXSW Accelerator programming will be held on the 4th floor of the Austin Downtown Hilton, as well as satellite Events will be held at various locations around downtown Austin.
