Video Spotlight: James Williamson & Buzz Osborne at SXSW 2014

The careers of James Williamson and Buzz Osborne are interwoven in many respects, but mostly in a musical sense. Williamson, as guitarist of The Stooges, played a major role in pioneering the punk sound that later influenced Osborne. King Buzzo built on those punk rock roots with the Melvins and various other projects. Their careers intersected again at SXSW Music this last March when the pair sat down with author Jack Boulware for a fascinating interview.

Learn more about Williamson’s journey from rocker to electronics engineer and Osborne’s career with the Melvins as the two dissect punk’s past and discuss the future of music and technology. Williamson even straps on the guitar to give a closer look at a few tunes by The Stooges!
