Video Spotlight: NO Live at SXSW 2014

NO was formed out of a chance meeting and a desire to create honest music. The band’s debut full-length album, El Prado, shows that singer Bradley Hanan Carter and bassist Sean Daniel Stentz have done more than accomplish their original goal. The versatile guitar work on El Prado, sometimes piercing and other times effortless and natural, serves as the perfect vehicle for Carter’s deep voice and personal lyrics, drawing comparisons to The National and New Order.

Luckily, we captured the LA band’s wonderful performance on the SXSW 2014 Radio Day Stage and three of those songs are now available on YouTube. All three tracks are from El Prado - which, by the way, was released on Kevin Drew’s Arts & Crafts label. Watch “What’s Your Name” (also shown above), “Last Chance” and “Monday” today!
