Very briefly, what do you do and what is your session about?

I own The Windish Agency, an independent booking agency. We book develop touring careers for over 750 artists. The panel I'm on is titled "Smart Touring (Don't Lose Your Shirt)".

How/why did you get started in the music industry?

I was a passionate member of my college radio station (WHRW at SUNY Binghamton) and then became head of concerts at the university. I went on to become a booking agent.

How many years have you attended/spoke at SXSW in the past? If this is your first time at SXSW, what are you expecting?

I've been to SXSW around 15 times.

Best thing that’s happened in music in the last year?

I represent Lorde and well, that happened. She's a true talent.

Favorite new app/service/tech development in music?

I'm a big fan of Bandsintown and the role it plays in connecting bands directly to their fans.

What’s the biggest issue facing the music business today? Can it be overcome?

There is not enough strategic development but yes, it can be overcome. There is a huge amount of opportunity in music today.

What’s the last live show you saw that floored you?

Blood Orange, Webster Hall, Feb 6, 2014. Incredible.

What artist(s) are you most looking forward to seeing perform at SXSW 2014?

All clients of The Windish Agency.

Tacos or BBQ?

My two favorite food groups.
