SXSW 2014 Band: Tus Amigos Nuevos

Chile exports more than just great wine, and on Tuesday, March 11th South By attendees will get a taste of some of Chile’s best music acts.

With an outstanding understanding of music history and a '60s psychedelic inspired sound, WatchOut! has taken Chile by storm and is ready to take on the Texan Capital. Fernando Milagros is one of the most important players in pop, mixing traditional sounds with alternative rock and folk influences.

With smart pop-culture infused lyrics, the band Tus Amigos Nuevos is a perfect example of the alternative Chilean music scene that understands its world and Latin influences. We Have The Place Surrounded is another case of cultures colliding - English lyrics, dancy songs, and quality indie rock.

Also on the line-up is blues rock act Perrosky, not surprisingly, this band has enjoyed success in all of Latin America through their dedication, versatility, and skilled performances. Last but not least, Nano Stern walks a fine line between traditional and contemporary music. With a social justice-charged message, an array of influences, and great musical ability, Nano is the real deal.

This mix of established acts and up-and-comers will be performing at Friends on March 11th starting at 8pm as part of SXSW's Convergence programming. Convergence events are open to all badge-types.
