To determine which SXSW Badge holders will be admitted to each show, SXSW will conduct a ticket drawing, which will grant priority entry for Platinum and Music Badge Holders only. No other credentials are eligible to enter these drawings. A limited number of SXSW Wristbands may also be eligible for tickets through a separate process which will be announced closer to the dates of the shows.

SXSW Music is proud to announce a special session featuring FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel on Wednesday, March 13 from 5-6PM. She will be joined by Dan Lurie (NEA) and moderator Michael Bracy (FMC) for Navigating Washington - Policy and Music in 2013. Hear a frank discussion of the current state of National policy issues affecting the music community, from copyright enforcement and non-com radio to how economics affects local music scenes. These issues are paramount to the growth and sustainability of the modern-day music industry.

On Saturday, March 16, hear rising Seattle-based hip-hop duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis discuss with John Norris their soaring popularity following their feature in XXL’s 2012 Freshman Class and self-released debut, The Heist, which shot into the #1 spot on iTunes and debuted at #2 on the Billboard charts without the support of a traditional record label. Their single “Thrift Shop” held #1 on the Billboard Top 100 chart for four weeks with a wildly popular music video (123 million+ views on YouTube) on heavy rotation on BET and MTV2.

After their famed downtown rooftop concert at SXSW 2012, Spotify is coming back to Austin for SXSW 2013! On Wednesday, March 13, we are partnering with Spotify to present Spotify Live featuring Kendrick Lamar, Youngblood Hawke and Cazzette.
