Delhi to Dublin - "Turn Up The Stereo": SXSW 2013 Showcasing Artist

Hour Magazine wrote that "Delhi 2 Dublin is the United Nations of rock 'n' roll". The band challenges the definition of urban music and drags it to the intersection of Bhangra, Celtic, Dub Reggae, Rock and Electronica. Strong word-of-mouth for their live performances has helped them play several of the top festivals in Canada, the UK, the US, the Pacific Rim and Europe. Their new album, Turn Up The Stereo, signals that originality and evolution are still part of the Delhi 2 Dublin experience.

Dame - "Sugar Muffin": SXSW 2013 Showcasing Artist

"I grew up in a house where speakers blasted female-fronted bands like Patti Smith, Kate Bush, Joan Jett, Stevie Nicks, and Debbie Harry. I always admired the way those artists made the statement that a chick could be in charge, get rowdy & rock, AND remain feminine and sweet at the same time. It's a powerful combo. I've ended up creating through my music, my own version of that combo.”

Chic Gamine - "Days and Days": SXSW 2013 Showcasing Artist

Winsome, wicked and witty, Chic Gamine embody the ‘60s girl-group vibe all grown up and living in a new century. Wall-of-sound harmonies, hip-shaking beats – these women could be straight out of Motown, before you throw in the curveball of French pop and four rotating lead-singers. By all the laws of the music business, this group is like the unicorn – it probably shouldn’t exist, let alone be performing at the Olympics and winning Juno Awards. And yet, here they are, soon to release their official U.S.

Bajofondo - "Pide Piso": SXSW 2013 Showcasing Artist

Even though Bajofondo has been a pioneer in what has been known all over the world as “electronica tango”, the group doesn’t consider that this definition is appropriate for their music. It’s been already five years since Gustavo Santaolalla conceived this project along with Juan Campodónico, with the idea of bringing together a collective of Argentine and Uruguayan artists dedicated to creating “contemporary music of the Rio de la Plata".

The Burning Of Rome - "Little Piranhas": SXSW 2013 Showcasing Artist

The Burning of Rome mastermind Adam Traub is a Southern California native who grew up in the sun-bleached city of San Diego. Those formative years were also spent glued to a piano, with a guitar close by.

At age 11 he started playing in a punk band, and by 15 they had struck a deal with Arista Records. During that time, Traub was diagnosed with a rare muscular disorder in both of his legs that would eventually require seven serious surgeries and six titanium bolts to correct.

Williamson primarily plays the banjo, employing a combination of three finger Earl Scruggs style, Pete Seeger style, and Claw Hammer. The result is a kaleidoscope of sound uniquely her own.

My Gold Mask - Burn Like The Sun": SXSW 2013 Showcasing Artist

Formed in 2009 by vocalist / drummer Gretta Rochelle and guitarist Jack Armondo, My Gold Mask conjure a feeling rather than a simple sound. Their music is part art-pop, part sonic poetry, and part personal chemistry. Their brand new album "Leave Me Midnight" on Highwheel Records is a dark and moody wall of sound that creates a spooky realm for the songs to flourish
