SXSW Welcomes Brazilian Delegation to Startup Village

Written by Cori Burford | February 3, 2014

SXSW 2014 will welcome a first-time national delegation from Brazil, made up of the best and brightest from Brazil’s creative economy.

Last year, Brazil launched a country-wide initiative to support regional accelerators and fund some 100 startups with an investment of BR$100,000 each. From online B2B markets to geolocation to ecommerce to social media to data analytics to online health and education, Brazilian startups are taking their inspiration from the opportunities and challenges of their emerging economy and translating these into intriguing value propositions.

As part of Brazil’s presence at SXSW, Twenty-one Brazilian startups will participate in two hour-long speed-dating sessions to meet with international investors and potential business partners in the SXSW Startup Village in Salon D of the Hilton Austin on Sunday, March 9 beginning at 11am.
