And you may have seen our post yesterday regarding two nights of phenomenal music showcase events at SXSW V2V. However, did you know groundbreaking film is also part of the V2V experience?

Cheap Thrills, E.L. Katz’s directorial debut that took home the SXSW Midnighter Audience Award at the 2013 SXSW Film Festival, comes to SXSW V2V on Tuesday evening, August 13. Stellar performances from David Koechner (Anchorman 2), Sara Paxton (The Innkeepers), and Ethan Embry (Empire Records) captured the film’s unique blend of social morality play, visceral brutality and razor sharp wit and earned praise from audiences and critics alike. “Class warfare comes perversely home in Cheap Thrills,” says Peter Martin of Twitch Film adding that it is “a fiendish, fierce, and funny morality tale about the true value of money.” James Rocchi at MSN Movies wrote that the film is “cynical, amoral, tense and superbly shot and performed.”

This special screening is free to all V2V badgeholders. A limited number of tickets will be available to the public at the door pending capacity, so register now for SXSW V2 to ensure access to Cheap Thrills and all the other amazing content that V2V has to offer.

Details on venue location and screening time will be announced shortly, so stay tuned to SXSWV2V.com for more.
